  10.  AB    A number of heterobicyclic compounds such as 1,3,5-thiazine,
  11.        thiazolidinone, pyrimidine, pyrimidinedione, imidazole, quinazolinone
  12.        and 1,2,4-triazinone derivatives have been sythesized by reaction of
  13.        1,6-dihydro-3(2H)-thioxo-6-spiro-(9'- fluorene)-1,2,4-triazin-5(4H)-one
  14.        (1) with sulphur/nitrogen compounds in neutral or alkaline media.
  15.        Structure elucidation of the new compounds have been carried out with
  16.        the help of elemental analysis and spectral data. Some of these
  17.        compounds were tested for in vitro anti HIV and anticancer activities.
